The history of art proves to us that everyone can draw, it is natural to human beings. From ancient times, art has been a source of inspiration, expression and preservation of culture. Drawing began when prehistoric men first drew on the wall of their caves and has evolved into an intricate art form that allows people to not only express their thoughts and emotions but also to communicate with each other, with their God, to document special events and more. That is why at the Barishev Art School we believe that everyone has a talent that is waiting to be discovered and developed.
Our classes are for people with different skill levels and experience. Whether you are someone with little knowledge, absolutely no knowledge or extensive knowledge, there is a place for you in our drawing class.

Students will be introduced to the expressive possibilities of drawing by learning to work with different materials such as pencils, charcoal and pastel on a variety of paper. They will be taught how to create balanced compositions in their work and how to properly express dimensions and scale variations. Drawing encourages the development of valuable skills like observation, attention to detail and concentration. These skills help students to be more aware and appreciative of the beauty of their surroundings. In combination with painting, drawing classes enrich and deepen artistic talent.
Adult classes allow those students who already have previous experience in drawing and painting to begin at a level that is compatible with their skills. The school program can be customized in order to accommodate student's needs and interests. For example, students who wish to work exclusively with a particular medium such as pastel, charcoal, colored pencils or others will be taught how to work only in that medium. Those who want to focus on only one subject such as Classical Drawing, Still Life Drawing, Botanical Art, Portraiture and others, will have the opportunity to receive instructions on how to begin and successfully complete their artwork.
