At The Barishev School of Fine Art, the students are encouraged to work beyond the classroom. Every student is equipped with a sketchbook and expected create several "homework" sketches each week. This not only encourages commitment to art but also helps the student to consolidate and expand on the knowledge, lessons and skills that are taught in class. The extra effort ensures that the students improve their skills and perfect their style through practice. By sketching, students become more observant and aware of the beauty and uniqueness of the world around them as they try to capture it and express it in their work. |
