 In the painting classes kids really begin to discover the wonderful world of art. These classes provide them with the fundamental knowledge of how to paint. Combined with their drawing skills learned earlier in the session, these classes prepare kids to take the next step in the learning process. First students are introduced to different painting materials such as tempera, watercolor, oil pastel and a variety of paper. Using these materials they are taught how to express their thoughts, ideas, dreams, moods and feelings in their work. Kids learn how to use a wide range of colors, lines and shapes effectively and are taught about color composition, balance and harmony in artwork. The painting classes are a great opportunity for kids to creatively express themselves and create artwork they can be excited about.
