.Drawing is one of the fundamental components of the General Art
Program. Students will be introduced to the expressive possibilities of drawing by learning to work with different materials such as
pencils, charcoal and pastel on a variety of
paper. Students will be taught how to create balanced compositions in their work and how to properly express dimensions and scale
variations. Drawing allows children to develop valuable skills like
observation, attention to detail and
concentration. These skills help teens to be more aware and appreciative of the beauty of their
surroundings. In combination with painting and art
history, drawing classes enrich and widen the talent of the
teens.
